Product description
This Bonsai is the exact one you will receive and comes with matching drip tray.
This beautiful Ficus bonsai is a characterful tree with a striking, naturally curved trunk and a well-developed canopy of glossy green leaves. The unusual shape of the trunk gives the tree plenty of personality, while the dense foliage creates a full and attractive appearance.
The Ficus is a popular choice for bonsai, particularly for keeping indoors, and is well suited to both beginners and more experienced bonsai owners. With the right care, it can continue to produce fresh growth and develop over time.
This particular tree has a lovely combination of mature-looking bark, interesting trunk movement and established branches. Its compact size also makes it easy to display on a windowsill, shelf, desk or table where it can be enjoyed as a feature plant.
The bonsai is supplied in the attractive glazed green ceramic pot shown in the photographs, complete with matching saucer.
Size
The bonsai stands approximately 37cm tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the tree. The pot measures 21 × 16cm.
Where to Keep Your Ficus
Ficus bonsai are happiest indoors in a bright, warm position, ideally close to a window where they can receive plenty of natural light. They enjoy a stable environment and should be kept away from cold draughts, radiators and sudden changes in temperature.
During the warmer summer months, your Ficus can also be placed outdoors in a warm, sheltered position. As a tropical tree, however, it should be brought back indoors before temperatures begin to drop.
Pets
Ficus bonsai aren't considered pet-friendly if eaten regularly . The plant contains a milky sap which can cause irritation and digestive upset in cats and dogs. While a small accidental nibble may not necessarily cause serious problems, pets should not be encouraged to chew or eat the plant, particularly in larger quantities. We recommend keeping your Ficus somewhere your pets are unlikely to reach it.
