Where to Keep Your Ficus Bonsai

Ficus bonsai are best kept indoors in a bright, warm position, ideally close to a window where they receive plenty of natural light. Keep them away from cold draughts, radiators and sudden temperature changes. Through hotter months, they should not receive direct sunglight for more than 2-3 hours a day. 

During the warmer summer months, a Ficus can also be placed outdoors in a warm, sheltered spot, but as a tropical tree it should be brought back inside before temperatures become too cold.

Every bonsai is naturally unique, so there will be slight differences in the shape, size, trunk and foliage from tree to tree. As our ceramic pots are individually glazed, small variations, minor blemishes and fine glazing cracks may naturally occur. These are part of the character of the pot and do not affect its function.
